Class Attire
Our preferred vendor for all of our dancewear and dance shoe needs is Dancy Pantz Boutique in Okemos! Our class shoe list is on file at the store and you will receive a discount if you mention that you dance at Studio 517.
3-4 Tap/Ballet, 5-6 Tap/Ballet: Any color leotard and tights
All Ballet Classes 7+ (7-10 Ballet, Intermediate Ballet, Syllabus Ballet 1-4, Ballet Variations 1&2, Pre-pointe and Pointe): Any color leotard and tights, hair in a bun. For boys, a white or black cotton/athletic tee shirt and black shorts or dance pants are recommended. Adult Ballet/Barre fitness does NOT need to wear a leotard and tights.
All remaining classes (Tiny Tumble, Creative Movement, 7-10 Jazz, 7-10 Tap; Beginning Lyrical, Hip-Hop, Acro; Intermediate Jazz, Tap, Musical Theatre, Hip-Hop, Lyrical, Acro; All Company Classes and Adult Classes): Dancers may wear any fitted athletic attire that is comfortable and makes them feel confident.

Recreational:

Jazz Requirements (ALL Company and Recreational Classes):

Ballet Requirements:
3-4 Tap/Ballet and 5-6 Tap/Ballet: Full Sole Leather Ballet Slippers in Pink
All Older Classes/Company: Split sole Canvas- Hanami 2037 or Performa S0284L in Pink
Hip-hop Requirements:
Studio will decide once costumes are picked, dancers can wear any clean sneakers or bare feet
Modern/Lyrical/Contemporary Requirements:
Capezio Hanami Pirouette H064W in skin color
Boys:
Black Shoes for everything (all options above may be purchased in Black)
